American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 Release Date

After a long hiatus following the release of its first five episodes, the rest of the episodes of American Horror Story: Delicate finally have a release date. This is not the first time American Horror Story has split up its seasons into parts, but the reasons for it are completely different. Season 10 had two separate stories, one covering the first six episodes and another covering the final four, thus why it was split into two parts. Despite this, season 10's second part continued to follow the same weekly schedule the show usually follows, so there was no delay between both parts.

However, American Horror Story: Delicate faced a unique situation that delayed the release of its second batch of episodes. The first part of American Horror Story: Delicate introduced Anna (Emma Roberts), an actress who, once she gets pregnant, begins to suspect there's a conspiracy around her trying to keep her from having the baby. Viewers were left with a shocking cliffhanger at the end of American Horror Story: Delicate episode 5, and though there was a long pause between the two parts, the final episodes of Delicate finally have a release date.

American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 Releases April 3rd, 2024

Part one of American Horror Story:Delicate wrapped up in October 2023, and after a long hiatus, the second part will finally arrive in April 2024. Just like with any other American Horror Story season before it and the first part of Delicate, the final episodes of American Horror Story season 12 will be released weekly, beginning on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. The episodes will air on FX at 10 pm ET and will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.

Why American Horror Story: Delicate Had A 6-Month Hiatus

The reason American Horror Story: Delicate had a six-month hiatus wasn't because of marketing, mirroring season 10's release plan, or any other type of release strategy, but because of the 2023 Hollywood strikes. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA 2023 strikes caused the season to be separated into two parts as it brought filming to a stop until the issues could be resolved. American Horror Story: Delicate faced controversy after production wasn't stopped once the WGA strike began, and the cast used a back entrance to the studio to avoid the picket line, but production was ultimately paused.

The WGA strike came to an end in September 2023, and the SAG-AFTRA strike ended in November 2023, allowing various films and TV shows to resume production, including American Horror Story: Delicate. Filming of the final episodes of American Horror Story: Delicate began in November 2023 and wrapped in late January 2024, allowing an April 2024 release date. American Horror Story: Delicate was already the show's riskiest season to date, and the hiatus didn't help at all, but if the final episodes are good, the hiatus won't be an issue.
