Live-action 'How to Train Your Dragon': Here's the cast, release date

The new "How to Train Your Dragon" live-action film coming out in 2025 has caused quite a stir on social media.

That's because some fans believe that actress Nico Parker – from "The Last of Us," "Dumbo" and "Reminiscence" – is not a good pick to play the blond main character Astrid after Universal Pictures released a first look.

Some say it's due to her dark hair color while others have gone as far as picking apart her race and ethnicity. Perhaps surprising to some people, Parker in fact has a European background.

Here's the cast for the live-action "How to Train Your Dragon," the release date and more details on Nico Parker.
