New Arrivals for Netflix March 2025

The Netflix March 2025 list of new arrivals arguably has more heavy hitters than any other streamer this month. The Russo Brothers, famous for their work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, have returned with their second Netflix original film after 2022’s The Gray Man, an adaptation of Simon Stålenhag‘s 2018 illustrated novel The Electric State. Audiences follow a teenage girl named Michelle, played by Millie Bobby Brown of Stranger Things and Enola Holmes fame, in the post-apocalyptic aftermath of a robot rebellion as she searches for her lost younger brother. By her side is Keats, a former soldier who fought in the war against the machines played by Guardians of the Galaxy and Jurassic World star Chris Pratt.

Featuring a strong ensemble cast that includes names like Oscar-winner Ke Huy Quan (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Stanley Tucci (Conclave), and Giancarlo Esposito (Better Call Saul), The Electric State is poised to be the next hit Netflix movie after it premieres on March 14, 2025. The film also boasts an impressive voice cast for all the colorful and wacky robots that appear in the story, with Anthony Mackie (Captain America: Brave New World), Colman Domingo (Sing Sing), and Woody Harrelson (Zombieland) as an animatronic avatar of Planters mascot Mr. Peanut being some of the highlights. The Russo Bros. will next return to the MCU with Avengers: Doomsday in May 2026 and then Avengers: Secret Wars in May 2027.

Moving into some Netflix original series, the four-part British crime drama Adolescence must not be missed when it arrives on March 13, 2025. Created by Jack Thorne (Toxic TownHis Dark Materials) and British actor Stephen Graham (A Thousand BlowsPeaky Blinders), Adolescence is every parent’s worst nightmare. A seemingly normal 13-year-old boy named Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper) is taken into police custody for the suspected murder of a female classmate. His parents, Eddie (also Graham) and Manda (Christine Tremarco), are forced to accept that their beloved son was radicalized by toxic online culture, but how unknowingly is the real question. Adolescence hits especially hard as the entire miniseries plays out in one continuous shot from start to finish.

The next original series is The Residence, which will have its Netflix premiere on March 20, 2025. From esteemed executive producer Shonda Rhimes (BridgertonHow to Get Away With Murder), the Netflix show is a jaunty murder mystery set in the most prestigious of all residences: the White House. Painkiller and Orange is the New Black alum Uzo Aduba stars as lead investigator Cordelia Cupp, who is tasked with uncovering who murdered the White House Chief Usher. Gifted comedy actors like Jason Lee (My Name Is Earl), Ken Marino (Wet Hot American Summer), and Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat) fill out the supporting cast.

Another new program that will get Netflix subscribers to press play based on the premise alone is Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney. A Netflix live event, its launch on March 12, 2025, will kick off a weekly talk show where every Wednesday, comedian John Mulaney gets into the “late night” game by interviewing guests live with the great Richard Kind as his sidekick and announcer. Netflix has had moderate success with some of their live events, so making this sort of expansion makes sense for the streaming giant. It should be interesting to see how the Netflix streaming platform continues to expand with live television after Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney finishes its twelve-week run.

In terms of pre-existing movies, The Outrun is one to keep an eye on when it makes its Netflix streaming debut on March 18, 2025. Starring Saoirse Ronan (Little WomenLady Bird) as Rona, a woman who has just recently left a rehabilitation center for alcoholism, the film tells a nonlinear narrative that depicts the path to recovery. Based on Scottish journalist and author Amy Liptrot‘s memoir of the same name, The Outrun premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival to much acclaim. It has since gained even more praise and accolades for Ronan’s performance and the delicate nature of the story.

Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is having its own Netflix streaming premiere, too, landing on March 20, 2025. The action movie follows Nicholas “Big Nick” O’Brien (Gerard Butler), a degenerate lawman who goes to Europe to track down Donnie Wilson (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), a thief who outwitted him. The two eventually team up for a heist with the Panther Crew of expert criminals. The first film is a cult classic, and despite what its middle-of-the-road 62% Rotten Tomatoes score might indicate, fans have fallen head over heels for its sequel. Den of Thieves 2: Pantera is primed to continue its sterling reputation when it hits Netflix, especially since Den of Thieves 3 is now officially in the works.

Regarding other recent gems and classics making their pilgrimage to Netflix this month, a core addition is the Australian horror movie Talk to Me, which is coming on March 28, 2025. Writer-directors Danny and Michael Philippou of RackaRacka YouTube fame are currently getting ready to release their follow-up to Talk to Me in theaters this summer with A24, mysteriously titled Bring Her Back.  Another horror film getting added to Netflix is the hilarious 2019 guilty-pleasure favorite, Ma, led by Octavia Spencer. Finally, Sony’s Kraven the Hunter is making its Netflix debut on March 13, 2025, almost three months after it was deemed a box office bomb.
